Not a lot has been going on... I went to the Marcus drumline competition yesterday which was great but it made me sad because I really wanted to play there. Grr to the directors. You'd think they'd let us compete after we won "best drumline" twice this year and everything. Their excuse about it being "too late in the season" just doesn't work for me. It's crap.
Anyways, I met up with the North drummers.. I know a few of them because I used to go there, and one of the guys in their pit is my next door neighbor. They're crazy people. They remind me a lot of my own line. I didn't get to see them play because they were second (meaning they performed at like 10 and I wanted to sleep) but they got 18th place. Considering there were 30-something lines in their class, they did pretty well. We definitely could have taken them down. And I bet we could have shown up Hebron and won best bass line. Maybe.
The yearbook/newspaper scrapbooking party is only two days away. It's going to be interesting since I don't really know the people going. Oh well, it's about time I got to know them better.
Playoffs start on Saturday, and we're going to play Hillcrest. I have no idea how good their football team is. Well obviously they don't suck but I'm wondering if they're better than our team.
