On Wed. I went to the Global Rhythms concert at UNT to see Jon play and hear some, um, global percussion music. The beginning of the concert was interesting to say the least. The Indian style music was okay for awhile but then it just got repetitive and a little boring. I did get to see "Head Talk" again, though. That's so fun to watch.. and "Head's Up" is great, too.
After the first part of the concert, we went out into the commons area to hear the steel drum bands play (8:00 and 2:00). Jon was in the 2:00. I got three really dark pics of him b/c when I had the flash on he was moving too fast and they came out really blurry.
There were four other McKinney drumline people there. Before the 2:00 started playing, we yelled "THROW IT DOWN!!!" (b/c that's what he yells at us before we play) but he didn't even hear it. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.
Anyways, that was the extent of my night yesterday.
