So yeah I was trying to get a ride to North today to see Jeff Queen and get my sticks signed but it took forever. I was supposed to go with Chris H. but he called and said he couldn't because of jazz band. So then I started calling other drumline people and eventually Chelsea agreed to go with me. We were supposed to get to North at 3:30 but we didn't actually arrive until about 3:45. Not too bad, but then it took us 15 minutes just to find an unlocked door. We tried every door on the school and finally got in the last one. So by this time it was 4 and we were pretty late. Then we walked around North for another couple minutes trying to find everybody. The band hall was completely empty and all the hallways were dark and everything. Finally we heard some drumming and a guy talking, and we discovered that there was a clinic going on in the auditorium. It's good thing we heard that because we almost burst through the stage doors, and that would have been a little awkward. So anyways. We go and sit in the auditorium seats because everybody who got there on time is sitting on chairs on the stage, including the only other two MHS people, Jeff C. and Mr. Olsen. About 10 minutes later, they both got up and left, so me and Chelsea were like "uhhh... were we supposed to be doing something at the school right now?" We just stayed though. The clinic was soooo cool. Too bad we had to miss most of it. Afterwards I got my sticks signed and bought one of his books (I got to pay $5 less for it than I was supposed to :)) and then we went back in the band hall to try to find a ride home. Chelsea's mom was kinda mad about having to pick us up but oh well. When I got home I ate a quesadilla and changed my shirt for the Italian Dinner concert. It was really boring but I think the percussion basket sold for the most money at the silent auction (second year in a row) so we get more free pizza! Sweet.
Lauren out-drummed everybody at |6:41 PM|
