Except for the North game, the one we had yesterday was the most exciting game we've had all season. First of all, nobody scored until the fourth quarter when Frisco (the regular one, not Centennial) got a field goal and had 3 points. When there was about 2 minutes left in the game, things were looking pretty bleak. We were on their 20 or 30 yard line but time was running out and their defense kept holding us back. Finally, with 8 seconds left in the game, our quarterback makes a run for it, jumps through a wall of Frisco guys, and scores a touchdown. We won 7-3, so we're going to playoffs and they aren't.

Which I guess left them a little pissed. First I heard after the game that some of the guys on the team were crying. And then there was the real excitement - Zack, one of our snares, was taking off his drum when this Frisco guy suddenly charged at him. So he takes off running across the grass with this big guy following him, and somewhere during this he took his helmet off and threw it against the chain link fence surrounding the field. Poor Zack would probably be dead by now if some of the other guys on the Frisco team hadn't stopped their crazy teammate. I was talking to some drumline people later and we were like "yeah.. if that guy had laid a finger on Zack we would've jumped on him and beat him up". Which might actually do something since there's 15 battery people. We could so take him.

Anyways, that's about the extent of the game. Oh it was senior night too which meant I got to walk across the track with my parents, but that's much less interesting for you to read about than the story about the football player and the snare drummer.
